Nimitz Library | US Naval Academy
Originally built in 1973, Nimitz Library is the United States Naval Academy’s main library. For this project Forrester Construction completed the phased renovation of 120,000 SF of office and education space in the historic Nimitz Library. The first phase of work included interior demolition and hazardous material remediation. The second phase involved a full replacement of the building’s mechanical, electrical, data/telecommunication and fire/life safety systems. Interior construction took place during a third phase and required the replacement of finishes and installation of ADA compliance features. The renovated library is also LEED™ certified.
