Healthworks for Northern Virginia

For this project, Forrester Construction built a new, three-story facility for Healthworks for Northern Virginia, an organization that provides medical, dental and mental health services. The new space was needed to meet increasing demand from Loudoun County residents seeking affordable healthcare.

The new facility includes 18 exam rooms, seven dental operatories, a pharmacy, an optometry clinic, a behavioral health wing and a dedicated prenatal and infant care clinic. The building also includes patient education meeting rooms, physical therapy spaces, as well as offices and conference rooms for staff and volunteers. Interior finishes included detailed millwork, wall paneling, multi-color LED light fixtures and casework in the pharmacy, exam rooms and lobbies. The project was built to achieve LEED™ Silver Certification using low-energy light fixtures, low-water plumbing fixtures, local and recycled materials and an energy efficient HVAC system.
