General Motors
Forrester Construction‘s project for General Motors Corporation involved the build-out of a 20,000 SF space in a new building to house the company’s Washington, DC public policy office. General Motors Corporation is the world’s largest automaker with manufacturing operations in 32 countries. General Motors’ new space includes private offices, four conference rooms, a server room, a lounge and executive showers.
Custom automotive-inspired finishes were installed throughout the space. The reception area, corridors and executive conference room feature automotive lacquer wall panels showcasing one of the automaker’s newest paint colors. The space also includes leather wrapped wall panels and a metal reception desk whose finishes mimic those of General Motors’ vehicles. Additional high-end finishes in the space include marble floors, wood panels with integrated wood doors and inset flat screen displays.
