Congressional Country Club
Founded in 1924, Congressional Country Club is an annual stop on the PGA Tour and has hosted three US Opens and a PGA Championship. For this project Forrester renovated and expanded the historic 1920s era facility while the club remained fully operational.
Congressional Country Club was expanded by 10,000 SF with renovations to 27,000 SF of existing space. Remodeled areas included the club’s restaurant, the pro shop, the indoor pool, the fitness area, the locker rooms, saunas and steamrooms. Outside, the club was outfitted with an exterior insulated finish system (EIFS), clay tile roofing, a natural stone façade and custom deck pavers.
