Calvert Memorial Hospital Surgery Center

For this project Forrester Construction renovated and expanded Calvert Memorial Hospital Surgery Center in Southern Maryland.  Calvert Memorial Hospital is a 134-bed community hospital.  Prior to this 10,000 SF project, the hospital had not undergone a large-scale renovation.

The completed surgical center includes six new operating rooms equipped with state-of-the-art laser technology. There are also pre-op and recovery spaces, a post-anesthesia care unit, a pediatric holding area, a new central supply room and sterilization facilities. A registration and pre-admission testing area were also built out to accommodate patient check-in.

The project involved construction of a full-service mechanical penthouse system to support the building’s added MEP and medical gas systems.
