Bailey’s Shelter and Supportive Housing
This project included building homeless shelter and assistive housing, including assembly and dining rooms, restrooms and showers, kitchen, laundry facilities, and office and support spaces. The shelter will accommodate 52 shelter beds including 4 medical respite beds, 18 permanent assistive living quarters, and an outdoor picnic and activity area.
The building is a structural steel frame and the envelope consists of a fiber cement siding/panel wall system with punched aluminum windows and an EPDM roofing system. The project is designed to satisfy LEED Silver requirements and includes a green roof area.
The site is approximately one-half acre. Related site work consists of asphalt paving for drive aisles and 25 parking spaces, a stormwater management underground vault, and landscaping.
