Level 3 Communications

Level 3 Communications is an international telecommunications and internet service provider. For this project, Forrester Construction performed an occupied renovation of 50,000 SF of research and manufacturing space for the company. The facility includes class 10,000 and class 100,000 clean rooms, enhanced research and development laboratory spaces, a cafeteria with a commercial kitchen as well as administrative offices.

Construction was phased to ensure the organization experienced zero downtime during the renovation. Work performed during these phases included demolition of interiors, renovation of a 30,000 SF active cafeteria, Category 5 enhanced telecommunications and data systems wiring, installation of new interior finishes and significant structural modifications. The building also received a new, energy efficient MEP system featuring explosion-proof hydrogenation rooms and custom equipment chassis.
