Grand Hyatt Washington
Located in the Penn Quarter neighborhood, the Grand Hyatt Washington hotel is a popular choice of travellers to Washington, DC. For this project, Forrester Construction renovated three-levels of the hotel creating new meeting rooms, a business center and a multi-level restaurant and bar.
The hotel’s existing dining area and lagoon were transformed into two large meeting rooms and a business center featuring custom chandeliers, wood paneling and decorative frosted glass panels. Adjoining public areas were also renovated.
The Grand Hyatt’s existing restaurant and cigar bar were combined into a single multi-level restaurant. To reconfigure the space, Forrester removed a large glass storefront and rebuilt concrete slabs between floors to join the levels. A three-story feature wall comprised of glass, millwork and stone separates the space from the hotel lobby area.
