Capitol City Brewing Company
Located at the corner of 11th and H Streets in northwest Washington, DC, Capitol City Brewing Company opened its doors in 1992. It was established as the first brew pub in the District since the Prohibition Era and has become an area institution. Forrester Construction renovated the restaurant’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, storage rooms, dining rooms, and kitchen.
The restaurant now features a bold color scheme highlighting the brewing tanks and industrial design. New mechanical systems were installed throughout the entire space and a modernized bar, and anew mezzanine private dining room were added.
This project had an unsually short schedule, which the project team was able to beat by three days using a proactive project management approach.
