2131 K Street

For this project, Forrester Construction expanded several of the building’s eight floors, renovated the main lobby and installed a new façade at 2131 K Street.  Located on the K Street corridor in Washington, DC, 2131 K Street is a downtown medical office building.

Creating additional square footage on four of the upper floors required a complex partial façade demolition and construction of a new building skin to enclose the addition. Interior construction was then performed to build out the new areas and upgrade the floors’ existing spaces.

The building’s main lobby recieved new electrical and mechanical systems, a glass curtainwall and entrance and refurbished elevators. It was also outfitted with high-end finishes including bamboo panels, seaweed accent glass and terrazzo flooring.
